I have changed the schedule for the challenges. There will be two Color Combos a month, posted on the 1st and 15th of each month. On the 1st of each month, the first Color Combo and Designer's Challenge will be posted. This Challenge will be for Layouts, Mini-Albums, and Off the Page Projects ONLY. You will now have TWO WEEKS to complete it! YAY!!! The following week, on the 8th, the SAME Color Combo will be posted, but for CARDS and TAGS ONLY with a DIFFERENT Designer's Challenge. You will have ONE WEEK to complete it. So the deadline for BOTH Challenges will be the 14th. You cannot mix a Layout Week with a Card Week. In other words, you cannot post a card or tag with a Designer's Challenge from Layouts Week, or a Layout with the Designer's Challenge from Cards Week. Sounds confusing? I know, but here is the schedule:

NEW CHALLENGE SCHEDULE AND FORMAT

Challenges will be posted on the 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd each month
One Color Combo posted every TWO WEEKS, twice each month, alternating layouts and cards each single week, using a different Inspiration Photo and Designer Challenge for each.
for example, EVERY MONTH ON....

- the 1st: Combo A - Layouts, tags, mini albums, off the page projects (this will run for two weeks)
- the 8th: Combo A - Cards week (same combo, different Inspiration Photo and Designer Challenge, for cards)Both Combo A Challenges will close at the end of cards week (the 14th)
- the 15th: Combo B - Layouts week (same as above)
- the 22nd: Combo B - Cards week (same as above)Both Combo B Challenges will close at the end of Cards week (the 28th)

I hope that makes more sense to everyone and that you will now have plenty of time to play along! The Designer's Challenges are fun and as always, I have carefully created color combinations with really great eye-popping designs in mind! We want you to give them a try, you will be glad you did and keep coming back for more!

Hello and WELCOME to another great challenge week here at Color Combos Galore! I hope your mojo has kicked in because I am so excited to reveal the next set of colors we will be working with. It's a fabulous color combination! But first, I want to thank everyone who played with our first set of colors these past two weeks. It was so nice to visit you at your blogs! It was also fun seeing you complete the Bonus Challenge too!!! So are you ready for it again? Hi! My name is Anne-Marie and I'm a SAHM living currently in Switzerland till Dec 2008. My family and myself are from sunny Singapore but we've had the awesome opportunity to live in Switzerland the past 8 months. My two children, Ethan (8 years) and Hannah (6 years) are my constant inspirations.

I have been scrapping for close to 5 years now and I'm still enjoying every single moment of it! I love that it is such a creative outlet for exploration and personal expression. I like that there is no right or wrong, no 'should's or 'should not's... just personal, heartfelt artistic expression. I feel a sense of release and accomplishment when I create and all the more, when my creations are able to inspire others.

I like to capture the 'moment' in my scrapbook pages. As such, my photos and the story I want to tell are usually the starting points for me. I love mixing colors and patterns and adding an eclectic mix of embellishments.

Hi everyone, my name is Sasha Farina :) Together with my fabulous other half, Sham, we have two not-so-little girls, Neha, eight yrs old and Nidhi, turning six tomorrow on the 28th Oct! All three of them, obviously are my main subjects.

I have been scrapping for slightly more than 2 years and am currently designing for Hambly Screen Prints, Label Tulip, Pencil Lines and Inspire Me blog.

My name is Stephanie Howell, I live in TX with my 2 year old Harper and my 8 month old, Sadie. My husband is currently on month 3 of a 12 month deployment to Afghanistan.

I have been scrapbooking for about 3 1/2 years. I was given a copy of Creating Keepsakes by a friend I taught with, and that is what did me in. I had always thought of scrapbooking as stickers and photos cut into shapes before that day. I never looked back!

I design for Studio Calico kit club, Websters Pages, and Prima Marketing. I have been published in Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks, and Scrapbook Trends. At the core of it, though, this is my fun, my creative release. It's a hobby to me, and one that has kept me sane.

When I'm not scrapbooking, I'm with the girls having tea parties, playing dress up, or store. I also love to hit up the flea market and if you ever visit my blog, you'll see I display vintage treasures just as often as scrapbooking pages.

Linda Harrison’s love for design, color, photography and story-telling all unite to form her passion for scrapbooking and paper crafting. Linda has been creating in some form or another since she was a child. In 2005 she took her creating to another level when she began doing freelance work in the craft industry. She has since designed for a variety of manufacturers and had her work published in several publications. In 2007, Linda was inducted into the Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame and in 2008 she released her first scrapbook idea book, Starting Points. When she’s not creating, Linda enjoys filling her days with fun times with her family, reading, and enjoying the beaches in her hometown of Sarasota , Florida .

I also love my husband of 13 years - Mike. We have 2 sons. Nathan is my sweet innocent autistic 9 year old. He loves Webkins, controlling the van a/c, clocks, archery, and memorizing dates. Andrew is my darling 6 year old. He is trying but very smart for his age. And he tries hard to stay on green at school.

I have been scrapbooking for 9 years. I have been published in Scrapbook Trends, Memory Makers Magazine, Paper Crafts and Simple Scrapbooks. I am the design team coordinator for Tinkering Ink. First off, thank you so much for allowing me to join in this week!!! There is nothing more inspiring than a FABULOUS color combination, as I'm sure quite a few of you would agree!!

I have been "enamored" by this hobby for just a little over six years now. However, my scrapbooking has been quite a bit more concentrated over the last two years since I left my corporate job to stay home with my two kids, Ashlyn and Cooper. They are most often the subjects of my layouts. I am an "everyday moment" kind of scrapper and I really enjoy capturing photos that tell about our daily lives. The little things are always what I want to remember most. I am most definitely a simple scrapper...with a passion for "white-space" and embellishments!!!

I have been published in Scrapbook Trends and I am looking forward to seeing my first assignment with BHG Scrapbooks, Etc. in print this coming January. I have the privilege of designing for Scenic Route as well as Paper Posies monthly kit club. I hope you enjoy my take on this color combo!!!

What can I say about Nikala? Her work is outstanding! If you look through her gallery all her pages are done so beautifully and there is so much love there. Her photographs are just as stunning. Here are a few words from Nikala:

Hi I’m Nikala and I live in Brisbane, Queensland Australia where the sun is almost always shinning and the weather warm. I’ve been married to my husband Jason for 9 years and together we have Harrison 7 and Charlotte almost 5. My love of scrapbooking began with the birth of our son. My mum presented a scrapped album of his first 12 months to us on his first birthday. Coming from a Graphic Design background with a love of art and photography…it was the most precious and perfect gift. So then I began, scrapping at night, reading magazines for inspiration, visiting scrap stores as often as the grocery store and surfing the net of my favorite scrap blogs. In the past two years I’ve been fortunate enough to be apart of two design teams in Australia, one in New Zealand and was chosen as an Elite Team 2008 member for “For Keeps Creative Scrapbooking” magazine which has also led to teaching at conventions in my hometown and Sydney in late October this year. Scrapbooking is so much more than a hobby to me, it’s become part of my life…..it’s my therapy. My other love and obsession apart from my family, is my photography. Almost three years ago I took the plunge and began Toffee Photography where I specialize in maternity, children and families. So if I’m not scrapping or taking photos, I’m buying clothes that match pattern paper or vice versa…sad, but oh so true!

I was thrilled when Janet asked me to join Color Combos Galore and I look forward to getting to know everyone better and the challenges ahead.

Belinda Venables lives in Barmera, S.A, Australia. She just joined the American Crafts Design Team and was recently published in Scrapbooks, etc magazine. I noticed Belinda creating her gallery at Two Peas last month, I was just blown away. I love that she uses both kraft and white cardstock, and I just love how she uses color. Her pages are fantastic! Here are a few of her words:

I was first introduced to scrapbooking by my sister nearly 5 years ago, just after my first daughter was born. I have always loved taking photos and creating so I knew this was the hobby for me. Before I knew it, scrapbooking was a part of my daily life and soon turned from a hobby to an addiction, and here I am today! I love everything about it! I love that I can have 'me time' to sit and create beautiful pages. I love shopping for gorgeous products and then going home and using them all. I love sharing with others and having them share with me. Most of all I love that I can scrapbook little moments in time that can be handed down to my children and their children. My favourite scrapping subjects would have to be my two beautiful children Madelin (5.5) and Makenzie (2). The thing I love to scrap the most is little things they say and do, so we can look back on them together in years to come.

I discovered Delphine through the color challenges. Her pages were fascinating to look at, all the layers and textures on every page she made was magnificent. I have never seen her work before but I definitely think she is a wonderful artist. Here she is:

My name is Delphine, but I often go by the nickname Delph57 on the web. I'm from France where I live with my husband and our two children, Chloé and Nathan. I started scrapbooking in January 2005 and scrapbooking has been very important in my life since.

Layle Koncar is the Marketing Director for Scenic Route . She began scrapbooking 11 years ago with the birth of her first son and jumped at the chance 2 years ago to take on scrapbooking as a ‘real job’ at Scenic Route after leaving her job running a software company. She's been teaching for the last 4 years and truly enjoys connecting one on one with other scrapbookers and sharing the passion for this crazy hobby!! Her work has been published in Creating Keepsakes, Better Homes and Gardens Scrapbooks Etc., Memory Makers, Paper Crafts, Legacy, Scrapbook Trends, Paper Trends and Pinecone Press. Please welcome our Guest Designer this week, Sharyn Tormanen!

First of all, thank you so much for inviting me to play this week. I love using an inspirational launching point to begin my layouts, and a selected color combo as fun as this one is right up my alley!

I've been scrapbooking for, let's just say, a very long time. I began as a child putting stories and pictures together in those old manilla albums that are now fragile keepsakes kept on a shelf high in my closet. Photography and journaling are a part of me. While I sometimes find it hard to irk out time to create a page these days as a busy stay at home mother to four active children, I do make time to blog each day. The way I figure it, even if I don't find the time to get those stories all down onto a 12 x 12 format, I'll still have them.

And that's what's important to me.

I've been designing for Technique Tuesday for over three years now, and Scrapsupply for nearly two. I enjoy those commitments because they keep me going to my scrapbook table, and I love the creative push. I've been published in BHG, Creating Keepsakes, Memory Makers, Paper Crafts and more. My favorite scrap endeavor to date tho has been being a part of Debbie Hodge's Get it Scrapped book. The layouts that I created for that book, I feel, are the best example of my style and what I try to share with future generations. For me, it's about the stories.

Please welcome our Guest Designer this week, Jennifer McGuire!

Jennifer McGuire, a 2002 Creating Keepsakes Hall of Famer, has been scrapbooking and stamping for about six years. During this time she has had numerous designs published in Creating Keepsakes magazines and idea books, Autumn Leaves "Designing With" books and several other publications. Her work can be seen each month in CK’s Tool Time article, where Jennifer shows the many things you can do with one tool or product, along with a bi-monthly article on creatingkeepsakes.com. A book based on this article, 101 Things To Do With Your Scrapbook Supplies, was released in June 2007 from Creating Keepsakes. Jennifer also works as an artist for Hero Arts Rubber Stamps, contributing to their designs, catalogs and web work. Since having her son, she stopped traveling to teach classes and instead “teaches” via video tutorials on her blog, jennifermcguireink.com.

Jennifer lives in Cincinnati. Five years ago, she left her job as an engineer in order to scrapbook full-time. Her family includes her dear husband, Ken, son Colin (2) and sweet step-daughters, Kay (13) and Audrey (10).

Please welcome our Guest Designer this week, Sarah Klemish!

I have always been described as a "simple" scrapper. I am not a huge user of embellishments and I certainly try to put the focus of my layouts on my pictures. I am currently obsessed with cardstock only layouts and stitching although I hoard patterned paper like no other. I am definitely a shopper but I do purge every six months and try to keep only the up-to-date supplies that I know I will use. I am currently on the BHG Scrapbooks Etc 2008 team (ending December 31) and it has truly been a wonderful experience. I am also a Garden Girl at Two Peas in A Bucket and have been since June 2007.

I honestly have stepped down from all my manufacture teams. I am at a point in my life where I don't want to be told what to use and when to use it - I just want to scrap for me, for fun, for my family. I enjoy posting my work at Two Peas and hanging out in the community. The women who post in the gallery are truly my daily inspiration! My past teams include: American Crafts, KI and Scenic Route.

My creative journey began at a young age. I grew up surrounded by inspiration - my mother made dolls, jewelry, pottery and even designed wallpaper. It felt natural when I chose a creative path in life as well. I received my first camera in 1976, and although it wasn't loaded with film until many years later I always knew I would take pictures. After the birth of my first child in 1997, I discovered scrapbooking as we know it today and has been hooked ever since. I currently design for Tinkering Ink, Page Frames and Inque Boutique. I have been blessed with many successes in scrapbooking. I live with my husband of 14 years, Brad and 2 children, Grant and Corinne in Tigard, Oregon.

I am happily married to my wonderful husband who is VP of Operations for KLA-Tencor. I have two amazing children. My son is a Senior at UC Berkeley, majoring in Computer Science, minoring in Physics. My daughter is a Sophomore at UC Davis, majoring in Evolution, Ecology & Biodiversity, minoring in Animal Sciences.

I have been scrapping for over 15 years. As scrapbooking was fully emerging in 1998, I owned and operated my own business, Tapestry in Time. I sold a product called “The Power Punch” which won the ACCI Best of Show award for most innovative product.

In 2007 I was honored to be selected by Creating Keepsakes Magazine as a Hall of Fame winner. I have published works in Creating Keepsakes Magazine, Memory Makers, Simple Scrapbooks and Digital Scrapbook Magazine.

Now that my children are away at college, I have returned to school at the University level, full time to pursue a degree in Graphic Design and Photography. Locally, at the beginning of this year, my logo design was selected from hundreds of entries as the winning design for Centerpointe Presbyterian Church.

Please welcome our Guest Designer this week, Lea Lawson!

Having scrapbooked in some form my whole life, I was formally introduced to the industry the year that I graduated from high school and my aunt gave me a scrapbooking kit. I scrapbooked every single fun thing that happened that summer, and I have been hooked ever since! I was recently named as one of the five finalists for Creating Keepsakes "2008 Scrapbooker of the Year" contest, and was a previous winner of the Creating Keepsakes "Hall of Fame" contest in 2007. I am currently part of the creative teams for Provo Craft and Glitz Designs, and a past team member for Urban Lily. My projects have been seen in Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks, Paper Crafts, BHG Scrapbooks Etc., Memory Makers, Scrapbook Trends, Paper Trends and Cards Magazine, along with a number of idea books. All of that is fun and great, but the best part of this little world of scrapbooking are the amazing friends I have made who share the same interests as I do, but who are all so different from me. It is an amazing community of people, and I am so happy to be a small part of it.

Apart from scrapbooking, I work outside of the industry in national advertising sales at a local NBC affiliate. I have been married to my husband Josh for six years, and we have two of the cutest dogs in the world named Bailey & Sadie. We are an active part of my 17 year old little brother's life, and he graces many pages in my albums. We love family time with both our families, traveling, football, video games, movies, and just spending time with our dogs. That is pretty much me in a nutshell!

Please welcome our Guest Designer this week, Vivian Masket!

I discovered scrapbooking a little over four years ago and immediately fell in love with this hobby. I’m so grateful for the friendships and opportunities that have come my way as a result of my addiction to using paper and glue to tell my family’s story. I was named a 2007 Creating Keepsakes Hall of Famer and have also had my work published by Better Homes & Gardens’ Scrapbooks Etc., Cards, Memory Makers, Scrapbook & Cards Today, and Scrapbook Trends. I am thrilled to design for October Afternoon and for my local scrapbook store.

Earlier this month I returned to work full-time as a secondary social studies coordinator for a large urban school district and am enjoying my job immensely. I have two amazing kiddos (one boy and one girl) and a wonderful husband who is a college professor. If I find any spare time outside of work, family time, and scrapping, I can be found reading cooking magazines, shopping for unusual produce, or slaving over a hot stove for hours.

Hi all! I am a teacher, wife, mommy of two fiesty little ones and proud pet owner! Being such a fan of this challenge, I am thrilled to have been invited as Guest Designer!

I have been scrapping in some form since I was a little girl who loved to collect memorabilia and magazine clippings to paste in pretty albums. After moving along to photos and layouts, I discovered the online side of things about two years ago and have jumped right in! I am constantly inspired by the talent and enthusiasm of others within the scrapbooking community. While I adore patterned paper, embellishments and chipboard, the part I love the most is telling the stories behind the photos! Along with creating keepsakes for my family members, this craft allows me to self-reflect, share my feelings and stay centered! I have been blessed enough to be published several times in Memory Makers magazine as well as the MM Oh, Baby! idea book. I proudly design and write for ScrapStreet.com Magazine, which is an amazing experience that I am grateful for every day! Just recently, I have become a part of the design team for the So Tell Me Your Story challenge blog where I hope to use my love for journaling to help inspire others! When I'm not scrapping, I love taking walks with my husband, laughing with my kids, eating chocolate and watching reality T.V.!

I'm a stay-at-home mom to 4 kiddos, ages 2 to 6. I started scrapbooking shortly after my oldest son was born because all the baby books I found had pages I would have left blank or were missing important details I wanted to include. After 6 years, I'm still going strong! I recruited my sisters-in-law to share my obsession with this hobby and now nobody else will sit with us at family functions because our conversations also steer themselves back to scrapping. I am a stay at home mom to five short ones ranging in age from 12 to 6 year old twins, it's a crazy life but one that I love! I have been married to my military husband Jesse for almost 15 years, we are currently stationed in Arizona. We will be retiring to Texas very soon and I just can't wait!

I have been crafting since I can remember. I have always enjoyed being creative and scrapbooking has given me a wonderful outlet for it. I have been very fortunate to have been published in most major magazines including Memory Makers, Creating Keepsakes, BHG, Scrapbook Trends, Paper Crafts, Cards, and more. I was also named Memory Makers Masters runner up for 2008, what an honor! I also design for Dream Street Papers, Glitz, Core'dinations Cardstock, and Pageframes.

I love knowing that I am capturing those everyday memories on paper for my kids to look back and enjoy as they get older.

Please welcome our Guest Designer this week, Molly Peckham!

First off, I just want to extend a HUGE thank you to Janet, and all the girls here, for allowing me to be the guest designer this week! :D I had so much fun playing! :D

I am a SAHM of two wonderful boys, Brendan, who is 6, and Alexander, who is 4, and our spitfire of a daughter, Caitlynn, who is 1. I am married to a wonderful and very supportive husband, Paul, who is in the Navy. We have been for married 8 years on March 17th. Currently we are living in Hawaii (yeah, I tend to not believe it, either, especially since I am soooo use to cold weather).

I have been scrapping for 7 years, and love every minute of it! I love creating these pages for my family and love to see their reactions when I do a page for them. But what I love most about this hobby has been the people that I have met and the feeling that I get when I have finished a layout.

I have been published in PaperKuts, Scrapbook Trends, NanC and Company, Scrapbook Answers, and Cantana Books, as well as being on the design teams for Work In Progress, Simply Cardstock and Everlasting Keepsakes. I also am very lucky to be able to work with Janelle Richmond on her sketch blog, Sketch This, and have also been asked to work with Patti Hutchinson, and her sketches, called Phutch Sketches. Can you tell I am a bit obsessed with sketches .

Besides that, I am also a photographer, and have recently opened up my business on the island of Oahu (very scary for me, but I am ready!). To say I have been busy is a bit of an understatement...lol!

Again, I just can't thank Janet enough! :D I hope that everyone likes this weeks colors. :)

Please welcome our Guest Designer this week, Janine Langer!

I am 31 years old and live in Solingen, between Düsseldorf and Cologne in Germany, with my husband René and our cute little 5-year-old monster Gabriel. I started digiscrapping in 2005, but only from time to time. I missed using my hands, so I always knew that I will 'paper scrap' in the future and in January 2007 I finally started to scrap with paper. I still try to integrate some digital elements now and then, but scrapping with paper is the thing I love. My favorite subject to scrapbook is definitively my family. I love to capture memories - especially our everyday life - trusting that our son will love it when he is old enough to appreciate it.
I've met so much beautiful and talented ladies since I started scrapping and I love to be part of such a wonderful community. And I am also very excited to be a guest designer for Color Challenge blog. It is such a fantastic inspiration, thank you!

Hi there, my name is Cindy Liebel. I am a devoted wife to Tim (5+ yrs), a mother to two beautiful children, Tyler (5 yrs) and Corinne (10 mths) and I enjoy capturing the everyday life of my family through the lens. I have enjoyed scrapbooking for almost 5 years and love every minute of it. I tend to scrap mostly 12x12, but I also enjoy smaller sizes such as 8.5x11, 9x9, etc. Mini books and altering anything that screams to be altered is another way I like to express myself in this hobby. I love trying new things and stepping outside of the box. My favorite essentials I grab for first are cardstock, chipboard, brads, buttons, jewels, T-ruler, corner rounder and anything circular. I'm fortunate to have a studio all to myself to house all my scrapbook goodies. Other hobbies I enjoy are making jewelry, photography, home improvement projects, fine arts & sewing. If I'm not scrapbooking, you can find me on the couch indulging in a good movie & playing w/ my kids.

Currently, I am a Garden Girl for Two Peas In A Bucket, an American Crafts Creative Design Team member and I was named 2007 Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame Honorable Mention. You can find some of my work published in a variety of scrapbook magazines, such as, Scrapbooks Etc, Scrapbook Trends, Legacy Magazine, Memory Makers & Creating Keepsakes.

I'm a thirty-six year old momma & wife who used to work in advertising, but now I stay at home with my kiddos and do freelance graphic design. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Mike, and started scrapping in 1998 right after we got married. I fell in love with the hobby because it indulges my love for story telling & photography all in one. But most of all, I am amazed by the way it has brought new friends into my life - all of us sharing a crazy passion for paper & glue! My first publication was in Simple Scrapbooks in 2004, and since then I've been lucky enough to have my pages published in Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooks Etc., Scrapbook Trends, and Simple Scrapbooks. I'm currently serving as a Simple Gal at Simple Scrapbooks magazine and it has been an incredible, inspiring opportunity to learn more about this industry and the amazing people involved in it.

In my free time (when I'm not scrapping) I love running, interior decorating, knitting, and reading. Some random favorite things of mine include: antique stores, Lyle Lovett songs, fresh snow, a cold beer on a hot summer night, front porches, convertible Mustangs, down comforters, and hugs from my kids.

Hey everyone out there!! Nicole Harper here, checking in as the Guest Designer for the week. (thanks to Janet for thinking of me...and the rest of the team for working with these ‘what was she thinking?!’ colors, lol)

I have been obsessed with paper and glue since elementary school...my heart would race every August when the new school supplies would come out. So I suppose my start in this hobby came as an ‘adult’ way to satisfy my creative urges, while still getting to play with paper and glue. (lol)

I most often scrap about my family...more specifically, my daughter Allison. She is a huge part of why I enjoy this so much...whenever I catch her paging through my scrapbooks, poring over every word and asking questions about whatever she finds in them, my heart soars. She and my husband Mike are my constant reminder that nothing is more important than family, time is fleeting and that laughter really can be the best medicine.

As far as my ‘style’, I don’t know that there is a name for it yet, lol. I guess I would say that I’m ‘clean’, but not ‘simple’. I don’t buy into the whole acid-free thing, and I believe that without journaling, all you have when you finish a page is a really pretty way to display a photo. I love to use ledger and graph paper, paint, alphabet stickers, patterned paper and a vintage element here and there on my pages. I shoot straight from the cuff and wear my heart on my sleeve...and my journaling pretty much reflects that. I guess in the end, my style is just simply ‘me’.

Hope everyone has fun with this color combo...it just really makes me smile.!!

Hey! I'm Chris Dodaj (pronounced dough-dash). I am super excited to be this week's guest designer.
I have been crafting in some way shape or form for as long as I can remember. My Mom had a little business making gorgeous dried flower wreath's and arrangements and I used to love staying up late with her in our basement just creating away.
My Mom introduced me to the world of stamping in the fall of 1999 just after my wedding. I fell in love instantly. It wasn't until 2003 that I caught the scrapbooking bug. I can still remember the time and place when I saw my first CK (which I still have) at Michaels. I have been hooked ever since. I would say that the biggest (and most shocking) compliment is that people say they love my handwriting. I could never just write script or just print - it's always been a mix. As far as my style, I am a little romantic/vintage/artsy, but hopefully still evolving.
I am a scrapbooker for so many reasons; my little girl Brenna, my hubby, Jeno, my family and my friends. I love that scrapbooking brings so many of my interests....my passions together. I love materials, journaling and photography and scrapbooking allows me express myself, my feelings and keep track of our own personal family history, but most of all those "everyday" not so perfect moments. My mission to record the stories and make it look beautiful in the process.
I have been published in a Scrapbook Trends Magazine Books and magazine, Legacy and Stampington & Co. I am also on the design team for Creative Cafe and have recently found my true calling......teaching scrapbooking classes.
If I am not scrapbooking I am probably on eBay or cooking or somewhere with my Nikon around my neck. I have actually tried to plan vacations around visiting scrapboooking stores - It's worked........once!!

I have been described as an "everyday scrapper," one of the greatest compliments ever in my opinion. My hope in spending all this time and money is that my kids and husband will be able to look at the pages I make and remember the everyday in our house. I usually start my layouts with kraft, it just always feels better. I like bold bright designs, balanced with a nice amount of white space (expect for this particular layout!). I don't embellish much. I love to use my own handwriting when I journal, and I love to journal. The story is what I always start with! I love scrapping about myself as much as my family, I figure if I don't tell my story, no one else will be able to do it justice. I've been lucky enough to be published a few times and have won a couple of contests. I've also been blessed to make some amazing friendships through this hobby. I think that's been the icing on the cake.

My name is Catherine Bodine. I started collecting scrap supplies in 1997 but didn't make my first page until our 1st child was born. I thought it would be a great way to create a custom baby book for our less traditional family. It became my obsession when we lived in an apartment for a summer with NO TV and all I did was scrap and I haven't stopped since. I have had the pleasure of being published in Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks, Scrapbooks ETC, Scrapbook Trends among others. I was privileged to receive an honorable mention in the 2006 CK Hall of Fame. I use color as a design element in my pages and since my scrapbook style is very minimalist I often only use colored cardstock in my pages and make the color a huge part of the design. I love to use bright, vibrant colors and this weeks challenge colors really suited my style (it was also great that they perfectly match my Simply Cardstock March Kit).

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Joy and I am thrilled to be the guest designer for the Colour Challenge. What a great way to get out of the rut of using the same colour scheme (which I am definitely guilty of!)

I started scrapbooking about 5 years ago after a family trip to the Dominican Republic. My sister in law had been trying to get me to scrapbook for a couple years and I always told her that I was not creative enough to do it. After this particular trip, I just couldn't put the pictures into an ordinary album because the trip was too special for that, so I decided to scrapbook this one album and see how it went. As you can see, it went pretty well and I have been scrapbooking ever since. I have been scrapbooking almost everyday since and crave that time to 'play'.

In the fall of 2005, I decided to start submitting my layouts and cards to a variety of magazines and have had the honour of being published in Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks, Scrapbooks Etc., Memory Makers, Canadian Scrapbooker, Scrapbooking & Cards Today, and Cards. This hobby brings so much joy and leaves a legacy for my family, how can it get better than that?!?!
